Saratoga Market Center was the first mixed-use apartment project by Bonacio Construction. This project and its adjacent building, 19 Railroad Place, were part of a core revitalization of an underutilized downtown city block. Before its development, the lot, located one block from Broadway and adjacent to the historic Franklin Square neighborhood, was home to a small, outdated grocery store and a rundown, oversized parking lot. Now, Market Center is anchored by a 19,000 SF specialty food market, and the upper floors contain 124 one to three-bedroom luxury apartments with balconies. The building also employed various green building strategies focusing on energy efficiency, construction materials, and site amenities.
