Salt & Char

Located on the first floor of the former Rip Van Dam hotel, Salt & Char is a modern, upscale steakhouse. Bonacio Construction renovated the restaurant in tandem with the renovation and new construction of the Residences of the Adelphi Hotel. With a nod to its equestrian heritage, Salt & Char’s design evokes a regional feel in a traditional tavern setting. To create a welcoming atmosphere, the main dining room uses natural color tones and textured accents, such as a brick fireplace, walls, and exposed beams. The custom bar is heavily paneled in dark wood, contrasting with its neutral-toned solid surface countertop. Bonacio Construction used various natural materials, including wood, mosaic tilework, and brick, to emphasize the interior’s rustic elegance.
