The Dauchy Building
The Dauchy Building is prime downtown Troy real estate. This 1842 building overlooks the Hudson River and River Street and was purchased as part of strategically acquiring several adjacent buildings in Troy, NY. Working with our architect, Bonacio Development successfully obtained historic tax credits through the National Parks Services’ and State Historic Preservation Office’s Standards for Rehabilitation of Historic Structures. As part of our long-term plan to introduce new residential opportunities to the downtown core, the adaptive reuse of the Dauchy Building brought new life to the area. Renovated by Bonacio Construction, this four-story mixed-use property now has 29 apartments that stay true to the building’s heritage with exposed brick walls, wood details, and barreled ceilings. Modern features such as granite countertops, hardwood floors, and Beech cabinetry were brought in to complement the historic charm nicely. Three commercial, ground-floor businesses are each a staple in the downtown Troy community.
